EMI color guard brings home championship title

Over the weekend, our district elite team known as Eagle Mountain Independent won their division at the 2019 North Texas Color Guard Association Circuit Championships. This is the first championship title in the group's history!

The members of EMI are made up of students from Boswell, Chisholm Trail, and Saginaw High Schools. This year's program is entitled “You Get My Love” performed to Pink’s song of the same title. The show tells the story of a proposal to whoever gets your love. Regardless of mistakes or hard times, love will always conquer all. Members are dressed in gold tones with accents of 24k printed on the costume. Using flags printed with diamonds and actual gold rings, the students perform the production on a large printed gold ring.

"This group of students has been working on the program since the Thanksgiving break," said Arthur Grossman-Juhl, Color Guard Director. "As teachers, we have done our best to prepare them for success and give them the tools needed.  However, their hard work and dedication as a team are what truly made the difference in bringing the performance to life."
