Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is pleased to announce that RandiAnn Cowden has been named the new principal of Elkins Elementary School. She will take over for Kori Werth, who has accepted a position in another district.
Cowden has been in EMS ISD for four years as an assistant principal at High Country Elementary. She has 14 years of experience serving students in Texas public schools. Prior to finding her home in EMS ISD, she worked as an intervention specialist and elementary teacher for 10 years in another district.
Cowden received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mrs. Cowden loves to learn and continuously strives to grow as an educator and leader. As an assistant principal, she made it her goal to ignite and inspire the students and staff on her campus to seek their highest potential so they can be their very best every day.
She and her husband Chase have two daughters, a 10-year-old and six month old. In her free time, she stays busy watching her daughter in competitive cheerleading and playing volleyball.
