EMS ISD welcomes new principal of Wayside Middle School

Portrait of John Fahey EMS ISD is pleased to announce that Mr. John Fahey has been selected as the new Principal of Wayside Middle School. Fahey is a familiar face across EMS ISD and well-known to many families who have been a part of the Boswell feeder system. He has served at Boswell for the past six years; two years as an assistant principal and the last four as the academic principal.

Fahey brings 13 years of experience in education to his new role at WMS. Prior to joining EMS ISD, he taught middle school students in Fort Worth ISD then served as a math teacher and baseball coach in Keller ISD. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and master’s degree in Business Administration, both from Harding University.

"I am excited to return to my middle school roots and continue the strong traditions and legacy of Wayside Middle School," Fahey said. "I look forward to working in partnership with teachers, students, parents, and community to help all students achieve at their highest level. We will continue to show our Wildcat pride in all we do."

Originally from Suffield, Connecticut, Fahey moved to Texas after graduating college. He and his wife, Evin, have been married for 10 years and enjoy spending time with their two little girls, ages 3 and 1. He also enjoys playing golf, woodworking, and cheering on the Red Sox.

Fahey will transition to his new role at Wayside this summer. A meet-and-greet event will be scheduled with Mr. Fahey and his team in August.
