Boswell Principal named President of Texas Association of Secondary School Principals
Nika Davis, Boswell High School Principal, was named President of the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP).
With more than 6,000 members, TASSP is the largest secondary principal organization in Texas and in the nation. Davis is the first EMS ISD Principal to hold this office. She is the 97th President named and the seventh woman President since the organization began in 1922. This honor comes to a large school principal in Region XI every eight years.
As President, Davis will travel the state of Texas during the 2019-2020 school year and present to each of the 20 regional organizations. In addition, she will represent Texas at the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) this summer in Boston, speak at the Texas Association of Student Councils Conference, and serve on the Texas Teacher of the Year Selection Committee.
