EMS ISD Director of Child Nutrition, Aaron Wylie, is the recipient of the 2020 Foodservice Achievement Management Excellence (FAME) Silver Leadership Award.
The FAME awards recognize school nutrition professionals for outstanding achievements in leadership, spirit/dedication, innovation, community involvement, and bettering the lives of students across the country.
The Leadership Award is presented to a director with less than 12 years’ experience who demonstrates outstanding leadership, dedication, fiscal achievement, and innovation in menuing and merchandising. Winners will be recognized at the School Nutrition Association’s Industry Conference in Indian Wells, Calif., in January 2020.
Wylie has been with the district since 2012 and has worked in the food service industry for more than 20 years.
“I am so honored to be receiving this award and know that everything that has happened here at Eagle Mountain-Saginaw was a team effort built by the entire Child Nutrition Department," he said. "It could not have been done without the support and encouragement of the district leadership to do more than just serve the kids meals that meet the government standards. They have always pushed us to serve the best food and create the best environment, knowing that well-fed kids learn better. It is such an honor to be a part of such a great team and district!”
Congratulations, Aaron, we are #EMSproud of you!
