SHS senior receives full scholarship to Princeton University

SHS student Janice Kankalongo Janice Kankalongo, a senior at Saginaw High School, has received a full-ride scholarship to Princeton University. The scholarship is worth more than $300,000. The amount will grow depending on her major, which right now is Chemical Engineering.

This past summer Janice interned for six weeks at Carnegie Mellon University's Summer Academy of Math and Science. During that internship, she studied Calculus, Physics, and Civil Engineering.

Janice is president of the SHS Rider Renaissance club and is also active in the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Students, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and UIL Math and Science. Janice also finds time to play varsity girls’ basketball.
