District Employees of the Year Announced

Watch Superintendent Dr. Jim Chadwell and staff suprise this year's Employees of the Year.

Posted April 30, 2020

Each year, EMS ISD announces the district employees of the year during a special Service Awards luncheon. This year, since we were unable to gather for this event due to physical distancing requirements, EMS ISD Superintendent Dr. Jim F. Chadwell and other members of leadership went on the road to surprise the 2019-2020 district-level winners in front-lawn announcements at their homes.

"The employee of the year announcements are something we always look forward to each year at our annual appreciation luncheon," Chadwell said. "Even though we couldn't be together, we wanted to make sure these talented employees were honored in a special way. The 'prize patrol caravan' was a fun way to share some great news and celebrate this year's district winners."

Earlier this year, each campus selected an Auxiliary Employee, Paraprofessional, Professional, and Teacher of the Year. From this group, one district winner was announced for each category. The selections were made using an anonymous committee process and secure online balloting.

During the front-lawn visits, Dr. Chadwell surprised the district winners at their front doors with the good news about their award. Each winner received an embossed trophy, a customized gift basket from the Education Foundation, and a yard sign announcing their award for their neighbors to see. See more photos from the front-lawn announcements in this photo gallery.

Congratulations to our 2019-2020 EMS ISD Employees of the Year!

EMS ISD leaders hope to be able to host an appreciation luncheon this summer for all our campus and district employees of the year, as well as employees celebrating 20, 25, 30, and 35 years of service in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD and those who have or are retiring at the end of this school year. If we are able to have this event, these employees will receive a personal invitation from the district.

Congratulations to all our Campus and Department Employees of the Year! We are #EMSproud of you!
