EMS ISD is proud to celebrate our world-class educators as part of Teacher Appreciation Week May 4-8. Each week during the school year, more than 1,800 educators across the district plan and deliver engaging lessons and communicate with families. This year during EMS Distance Learning, teachers transformed their physical classrooms into digital ones in a matter of days. They are recording videos, holding digital office hours, and formatting lessons for online platforms – all in an effort to continue to provide engaging and meaningful learning for scholars grades Pre-K through 12.
To honor teachers this year, the district digitally wrapped a care package for honorees. At the bottom of the page, you can send this care package to an EMS ISD teacher to show them how much they mean to you!
Year after year, teachers offer more than instruction. Educators are a listening ear for students and parents. They are a supportive teammate to their coworkers. They are an advocate for children.
“I am continually amazed at the resiliency and grit our teachers display,” said Superintendent Dr. Jim Chadwell. “Take a moment this week to celebrate these men and women who work tirelessly to educate children with enthusiasm and compassion.”
Give these educators a shout out on social media using #ThankATeacher and #TeacherCan. We are #EMSProud!
