Chisholm Ridge Elementary fifth-grade student Orion won the Think Kindness National Kindness Speech Contest after receiving the most votes online. The premise of the National Kindness Speech Contest was to give students a platform to not only let their voices be heard, but to also let them inspire others. Watch Orion's speech video.

There were 80 submissions from across North America. A panel of judges narrowed down the entries to the top 20. Then, each contestant was paired with a professional youth speaker to help them improve their speech before going public. The final votes were open to all of America online.

The top 20 also included submissions from two High Country Elementary students, Laissa and Pheobe. Watch Laissa's speech video. Watch Pheobe's speech video.
