Lake Pointe Elementary Principal Dr. Audrey Arnold has been named the new Executive Director of Elementary Services. Arnold will continue to serve as principal until her replacement is named.
As Executive Director of Elementary Services, Arnold will work within the Educational Services Department to support principals as they lead their schools and programs that serve EM ISD's early childhood and elementary students.
Arnold began her career in education as a high school special education teacher and later taught elementary language arts in South Carolina prior to moving to North Texas. After moving to Texas, she taught special education in Weatherford ISD and at Boswell High School.
Arnold’s experience as a leader is extensive. She’s served as an academic high school principal, principal at elementary and intermediate campuses, and educational diagnostician for State of the Heart Counseling Center in Bedford. At a district level, she’s been an assistant superintendent of instruction, deputy superintendent, and superintendent of schools.
Arnold received her doctorate in educational leadership from Texas Christian University, master’s degree in special education from the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education from Charleston Southern University.
Arnold expressed her gratitude and deep appreciation for the staff, students, and families of Lake Pointe Elementary after working with them for the last five years.
“My passion and one of my primary purposes in life is to help bring about connections to learning and understanding for others,” Arnold said. “It is my joy to continue to serve and develop those relationships with the students, staff, parents, and community of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.
