Current Lake Pointe Elementary assistant principal Vanessa Kiser has been selected as the campus’ newest principal. Kiser has 23 years of educational experience, having served the last nine years in EMS ISD. She officially assumes her new position November 1. She began her career teaching second, third, fourth, and fifth grades. She has also served students as a dyslexia teacher, interventionist, and campus instructional coach. After joining EMS, she served as the reading interventionist and assistant principal at Chisholm Ridge Elementary before becoming assistant principal at Lake Pointe.
“Vanessa brings strong leadership experience and continuity to her new role as principal,” said Deputy Superintendent Dr. Linda Parker.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of North Texas (UNT), and an Educational Diagnostician Certification from UNT.
“I am thrilled to continue serving the Owls in my new role, and I am ready to continue building on the important work already underway with the children at LPES,” Kiser said.
