Boswell High School

The show is part of the 40th anniversary celebration of the Boswell High School Reeves Fine Arts Center. The center is named for Glenn Reeves, who served as the third Superintendent of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. During his 14-year tenure he oversaw the construction of the Boswell Fine Arts Center and was instrumental in forming the first area Chamber of Commerce. Over the past four decades the Reeves Fine Arts Center has been home to hundreds of performances, including musicals, band concerts, dance recitals and employee convocations.

Saginaw High School proudly presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee by William Finn. Showtimes are December 3-4 at 7 pm and December 5 at 2 pm in the SHS Auditorium.

In this play, an eclectic group of six preteens vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves!
