New Principal of Prairie Vista MS Announced
Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is pleased to announce that Wat Harden has been named the new principal of Prairie Vista Middle School. Harden has 18 years of experience in public education and currently serves as an assistant principal at Chisholm Trail High School.
Harden began his career as a biology teacher and coach at Dunbar High School in Fort Worth ISD. He began serving as an assistant principal at Crowley High School in 2015 before being selected as an assistant principal at Chisholm Trail in 2019.
“Wat Harden is a proven successful administrator who leads through collaboration and relationship building with all stakeholders,” said Walter Berringer, Executive Director of Secondary Services. “As the principal of Prairie Vista Middle School, Mr. Harden will continue to foster a culture of excellence in every student.”
Harden earned a bachelor's degree in Marine and Environmental Sciences from Hampton University in Virginia and a master's degree in Biology from Arkansas State University - Jonesboro.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to lead, serve and work alongside the world-class educators at Prairie Vista Middle School,” Harden said. “I am dedicated to helping provide each student and adult a safe, accepting, and high-achieving experience. Go Coyotes!"
Harden and his wife, Ashley, have two daughters, Kylie and Layla. During his spare time, Harden likes to participate in and watch sports, as well as travel with family.
Harden will begin his new role at Prairie Vista Middle School in July.
