Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is pleased to announce that Daniel Dodson has been named the new principal of Copper Creek Elementary School. Dodson has 13 years of experience in public education and most recently served as the assistant principal at Copper Creek Elementary.
Dodson began his career in education teaching middle school social studies and has experience as a reading interventionist. He has also served as an assistant principal at the elementary, middle and high school levels. He earned his bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in 4th-8th grade Reading and Social Studies Instruction from Texas A&M University and his master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
“Mr. Dodson brings servant heart leadership, years of experience as an instructional leader, and a strong commitment to the students, staff, and community that comprise the Copper Creek Cowboy Family,” said Dr. Audrey Arnold, EMS ISD Executive Director of Elementary Services. "We are excited to have him continue to build the foundations of excellence at CCES."
Dodson and his wife have three daughters, ages 8, 6, and 4. He enjoys staying busy supporting his children in their extracurricular activities and serving at his church. He will begin his new role at Copper Creek Elementary in July.
