New Principal of Remington Point ES Announced

Claire ComptonEagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is pleased to announce that Claire Compton has been named the new principal of Remington Point Elementary School. Compton has 12 years of experience in public education and currently serves as an assistant principal at Copper Creek Elementary School.  

Compton began her service in education as a first grade teacher at Chisholm Ridge Elementary School. She has eight years of experience as a campus administrator in both Midland ISD and Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, including two years at Northbrook Elementary School before moving to Copper Creek. 

“Claire Compton is an experienced school administrator with a long history in our school district,” said Dr. Linda Parker, EMS ISD Deputy Superintendent. “We’re #EMSProud to have her serve as a principal in the school district where her career in education began.”  

Compton earned a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in Education Administration from The University of Texas Permian Basin.   

“I am excited to join the Panther family and honored to continue the work that has been established at Remington Point,” Compton said. “Together we will continue to do what is best for our kids and ensure their growth and success. Go Panthers!” 

Compton is married to her husband, Barry, and they have a four year old daughter and a miniature schnauzer puppy. She enjoys spending time with her family and all things Texas A&M University.
