EMS ISD Offers Free Tutoring for Students

When hard questions come up during homework or a little extra help is needed to master a subject, students in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD can work with a tutor, free of charge, in a moment's notice.

EMS ISD is partnering with Tutor.com to provide this service to all EMS ISD students seven days a week from 8 a.m. - 11 p.m.

To use this service free of charge, students must sign in to Tutor.com through their Single Sign On (SSO).

“We want to give our students every opportunity to master the content they’re learning in their classes,” said Tricia Leavitt, EMS ISD Director of Assessment and College, Career and Military Readiness. “For a student who may be home in the evening, or on a weekend, and just needs some extra support, the opportunity to immediately reach out to a tutor can be the difference maker in ensuring the student understands the concept.”

While students should always reach out to their teachers first for academic support, Tutor.com can serve as an additional resource.

The service is available for all grade levels, subject areas, and academic levels, and tutors are available for English and Spanish instruction.
