The 2024-2025 Region 11 Outstanding High School Principal of the Year is Dr. Winston McCowan from Chisholm Trail High School.

The Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) has announced the winners from each region, and McCowan was selected by Region 11.

"It is truly an honor, and a blessing to represent the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and Region 11 as the high school principal of the year," McCowan said. "Once again, this is a testament to the amazing people that I work with and for."

McCowan will now move on to represent the region, which covers public schools in 10 North Texas counties including Tarrant and Denton, as TASSP selects the 2024-2025 Texas High School Principal of the Year.

McCowan, who has led CTHS since 2020, was also named an H-E-B Excellence in Education semi-finalist last month.
