Hafley Development Center Celebrates College, Career, and Military Readiness Week
November 18-22, 2024
Hafley Development Center observed College, Career, and Military Readiness Week November 18-22, 2024, with a week of engaging activities aimed at sparking excitement and awareness about future opportunities. The goal of the week is to help our students start thinking early about the many paths available to them after graduation.
Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of fun, themed dress-up days, each encouraging them to imagine their future and understand the possibilities that await.
- Monday kicked off with "My Future Starts Now!" as students wore their favorite college shirts or colors, emphasizing the importance of planning for the future.
- Tuesday was "Can't Hide Our Military Pride!" where students wore camouflage or red, white, and blue to show their support for the military.
- Wednesday was "When I Grow Up Wednesday," with students dressing up as the careers or jobs they dream of having when they’re older.
- Thursday was "Dress to Impress," a day for students to wear business attire, preparing them for future professional opportunities.
- Friday wrapped up the week with "Dress for Your Future," where students dressed like college students, reflecting their excitement for higher education.
While the activities were fun and engaging, they also provided important opportunities for our younger learners to begin thinking about their futures. By exposing students to the wide range of options available to them at an early age, we hope to inspire them to dream big and work hard toward achieving their goals. At Hafley Development Center, we believe that starting these conversations early can help set the stage for a bright and successful future for every student.
