EMS ISD names new Human Resources Director of Secondary Staffing
Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is pleased to announce that Carrie Harrison has been named as the new Human Resources Director of Secondary Staffing. Harrison comes from Weatherford ISD, where she has served as Principal of Tison Middle School for the last three years. She brings with her 15 years of experience in public school education with the last seven of those spent in school administration.
Harrison began her
career in education as a classroom teacher at Fort Worth ISD’s Westpark
Elementary School, where she served for eight years. In 2009, she moved to
Tison Middle School in Weatherford ISD as an assistant principal, and then
accepted an assistant principal position at Seguin Elementary School in 2012.
After serving as an assistant principal in Weatherford ISD for four years, she returned
to Tison Middle School as its newest principal. She will join EMS ISD in her
new role in Human Resources on October 31.
“Carrie’s experience
as an assistant principal and principal at the secondary level will
provide valuable insight regarding campus staffing services for our district,
said Steve Williams, Chief Human Resources Officer. “Her experience in district
strategic planning and improvement plans will serve our campus leaders well and
she will be a valuable asset to the HR team.”
Harrison received
her Master of Education from Tarleton University in 2009 and her Bachelor’s in
Education from Texas Wesleyan University in 2001. She is currently working on
the dissertation for her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas
A&M-Commerce. Harrison takes over the Human Resources director position
from Karen Duke, who recently joined Rockwall ISD in a similar role.
“I am so
appreciative of my last seven years in Weatherford ISD. However, I am very
excited to join the Human Resources team in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, a
district known for excellence and a strong commitment to the community,”
Harrison said. “I look forward to this new role and the opportunity to
contribute to the continuing success EMS staff and students.”
During her free time,
Harrison enjoys spending time with her two children: Hannah, a sophomore
education major at Texas A&M University; and David, a professional
chef currently working in Paris, France. She also enjoys cooking, baseball,
and watching Texas A&M football.
Please help us
extend a warm welcome to the newest member of the EMS ISD Human Resources team.
