Cadets in the EMS ISD Air Force JROTC spent Saturday morning volunteering their time to improve the EMS ISD community.
Around 50 cadets gathered outside of Chisholm Trail High School and marched the Trinity Trail around Marine Creek Lake, picking up trash.
"It helps build character, commitment to the community and promotes an individual sense of responsibility," A'driana Ibarra, a cadet who is a junior at Saginaw High School said. "In short, it makes our community and nation better. This is what everyone should seek to do."

The EMS ISD Air Force JROTC is based at Saginaw High School, but also includes students from Boswell and Chisholm Trail high schools. They take
part in a number of community service events throughout the year including two additional trash pick-ups, an annual holiday food drive, Holiday Baskets for Heros benefiting first responders, mentoring at Gilliland Elementary School and holiday caroling at Chisholm Ridge Elementary School.
