Blue Zone Project Approved School

Blue Zones Project® is a community-led well-being initiative designed to make healthy choices easier in Fort Worth through permanent changes to environment, policy, and social networks. When our entire community participates – from worksites and schools to restaurants and grocery stores – the small changes add up to huge benefits for all of us: lowered healthcare costs, improved productivity, and ultimately, a higher quality of life.

Greenfield Elementary is proud to announce that we have taken the Blue Zones Project School Pledge and have become a Blue Zones Project Approved™ school!  By implementing healthy, evidence-based best practices, we hope to optimize our school environment to better promote physical, social, and emotional health.

You can learn more about Blue Zones Project at bluezonesproject.com.  If you haven’t already taken the Personal Pledge and would like to do so, we encourage you to visit https://fortworth.bluezonesproject.com/pledge.   Take the pledge and join Greenfield Elementary in the movement to improve your own well-being!

****As a Blue Zones school, we are asking for your help when celebrating birthdays.  We know that everyone loves cupcakes, however in our efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle we are asking that you consider an alternative such as pencils, stickers, or something similar.

We also ask that you consider healthy choices when packing a lunch for school and eliminate sodas and other sugar-filled drinks. ****
