Ramiro Silva, a Chisholm Trail 2018 graduate, was selected as an Outstanding Performer of the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest (TSSEC) in Austin. The contest was held over Memorial Day weekend. 

 

Each year, the judges hear about 25,000 musicians, and only the best of the best are selected as Outstanding Performers. This year, Ramiro was one of only 312 students in the entire state to earn this distinction. Students who earn this distinction earn a UIL medal that is the same as those awarded to UIL state champions.
