Seventh-Grader Earns Alternate Spot on Fort Worth Youth Philharmonic Orchestra

Marine Creek Middle School seventh-grader Nicholas Bailey earned a qualified alternate spot as a clarinet player for the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra program's Philharmonic Orchestra. Bailey auditioned by submitting three performances via video, competing against students of all ages. This year due to social distancing, available spots were cut in half.
“As a seventh-grader having played clarinet for only 2 years, this is a giant accomplishment,” said band director Hannah Stephens. “Nick is a dedicated student, hard worker, and role model musician in our program. We are so proud of him!”
