Fourteen second grade students participated in the District Reading Bee on Thursday, November 7, hosted at Comanche Springs Elementary School. The students who participated were the the Reading Bee champions from their home campus and were competing for the title of District Reading Bee Champion. The Reading Bee is an annual event sponsored by Score A Goal in the Classroom for 2nd grade students.  The process begins at the campus level where a campus champ is named.  The campus champ then moves forward to compete at the district level. Students individually read a series of reading passages that progress in difficulty to assess reading skills of fluency, accuracy and comprehension.
