Skyward Family Access FAQs

Signing up for Family Access is easy! If you’re a parent to an existing child at your district, you should already have an account created. Access the password reset process through the following link to have an automated reset email sent to your email on file: Password Reset Link. If you do not receive an email, please check your SPAM or JUNK folder to make sure it didn’t get sent there. If you do not have an updated email address on file or in the event you don’t receive a reset email, please contact your child’s school directly for assistance in verifying your email address and verifying your Family Access account is setup. 

No. Once you have an active account, you will not need to reapply.

If parents want their own accounts with their own logins and passwords, this is fine as long as they both legal rights to obtain information about the student. This will be verified when the account is being processed.

You will be able to see information about your children that attend other campuses. You will have one account that gives you access to your children at all EMS ISD campuses at that time.

To change your password, you need to login to Family Access. Once you are on the main display for Family Access, please click the button in the upper right-hand corner of the display that says Account Info. This button will show you all of your account information and how to change your password. You will be required to provide your current password when changing your password.

Go to the Family Access log in page and click on the “Forgot your Login/Password?” link. You will receive an email with your username and a link for your password. Please follow the directions in the email to reset your password. You can also contact the campus contacts listed at the bottom of the page.

Family Access provides real-time information. Grade reporting is a campus/department decision. Since teachers input grades over a period of time, not all grades will show up at the same time.
