What is Dual Credit?

  • Dual credit courses allow students to earn college credit while attending high school. Dual credit courses satisfy high school graduation requirements and provide college credit at the same time. SHS works in partnership with Tarrant County College to provide dual credit opportunities to our students.

Dates and Course Information

  • Important Spring 2023 Dates

    Jan 17 - First day of class

    April 13 - Last day to drop a course without receiving a TCC grade. Dual credit students should meet with Mrs. Bradshaw before dropping a course. There must be a plan in place for how you will earn your high school credit(s).

    May 10 - Final exams begin

    Summer 2023 Course Information

    Summer dual credit classes for 2023 will be online only options. Registration for all candidates that have met enrollment requirements can begin registering for class in late March. 

    Fall 2023 Course Information

    Fall course registration for TCC dual credit courses will begin in April 2023.

  • Summer 2023 dual credit registration is now open. Use these instructions to self-register or see Mrs. Bradshaw in the College and Career Center during your lunch. 

    Fall 2023 dual credit registration opens April 17. 

    Students interested in taking dual credit classes in the 2023-2024 school year must complete the 2023-24 Dual Credit Enrollment course in Canvas by January 31, 2023.
