I am honored to serve as the school counselor at Willow Creek Elementary because of the wonderful students, staff, parents, and community. Every day is a new beginning here at WCES with various challenges and rewards including the opportunity to learn more about some incredible people. I feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing school!
I was born and raised in Louisiana, went to college at Louisiana State University (LSU) and received my counseling degree from Amberton University. I recently received my Licensed Professional Counseling Certification (LPC) and in my spare time work in private practice.
This year makes my 19th year in education, 12 years were in middle school/coaching. I taught 7th, 8th and 9th grade math and taught special education/inclusion. I am entering my 7th year as a school counselor. Every day working in education is a new experience, and I enjoy the relationships fostered with my students, staff, parents, and community.
As the counselor, I am here to serve you and your child in any way possible. Some of the roles that I play are to be a consultant for teachers, parents, and students as well as provide helpful community resources for families. My goal is to assist in developing quality character development for our students and to encourage and motivate their social and academic skills.
Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss your child and any ways that I might be of assistance in helping your child happily succeed in school!
