I am honored to serve as the school counselor at Willow Creek Elementary because of the wonderful students, staff, parents, and community. Every day is a new beginning here at WCES with various challenges and rewards including the opportunity to learn more about some incredible people. I feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing school!
As a graduate of Boswell High School, I was raised in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw area. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University. Then, I continued my education at the University of North Texas, earning my Masters in Education in School Counseling.
This year marks my 29th year in education and fifteenth year as a school counselor. Prior to becoming a counselor I taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades, as well as serving as a Title I Math teacher. Every day working in education is a new experience, and I enjoy the relationships fostered with my students, staff, parents, and community.
As the counselor, I am here to serve you and your child in any way possible. Some of the roles that I play are to be a consultant for teachers, parents, and students as well as provide helpful community resources for families. My goal is to assist in developing quality character development for our students and to encourage and motivate their social and academic skills.
Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss your child and any ways that I might be of assistance in helping your child happily succeed in school!
