The Starsteppers are a traditional drill/dance team founded in 2005 by Director Debra Ezell, the first year Saginaw High School opened. The organization has a junior varsity and varsity division, as well as an 8th-grade prep course, so that as many students as possible can take part in the enriching program. The young ladies that make up this team are dedicated students, dancers, and citizens. They perform at various sporting, campus, and community events while upholding the core values of the team: Respect, Sportsmanship, and Community. In the spring, the team competes at many local, state, and even national competitions. The season culminates in an annual Spring Show, where their talents are displayed for the community to see and the new team is introduced.
