Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, and Tennis Info for 2020

    Colt Parents,

Summer is almost over, and we have been working diligently to make sure your athlete can have as close to a normal experience as possible while still maintaining the required safety precautions. Please be patient with us as we navigate this unchartered territory in the world of sports. Below you will find information that will help your athlete have a smooth transition to returning to athletics.

Start Date: Volleyball, Cross Country, and Tennis  Tues, August 25th

    Start Date: Football, August 26th

Time: 7th grade 7am-8:45 (doors will open at 6:45); 8th grade 3:15-5pm (doors will open at 3pm)

Location: Drop-off will be on the south side of the building at Door #18 (facing the tennis courts). Pick up will be at the same location.

What To Bring: Physical (ALL 7th grade and 8th graders without a physical on file from the 2019-20 school year), $30 for uniform, mask/face covering, wide-mouth reusable water bottle, and knee pads for volleyball.

To be able to participate, athletes MUST have the following completed by the first day of practice:

    • 7th Grade Athletes must have a Physical, Medical History and online RankOne forms completed before you can participate. If you have your physical, please bring it with you on the first day of school. Paper copies are preferred but you may email it to Coach Sisk tsisk@ems-isd.net or Coach Nichols jnichols@ems-isd.net. For locations to get a physical, please check options below. Physicals MUST be dated after May 1, 2020.
    • 8th Grade Athletes must complete ALL RankOne online forms before you can participate. You must also have a physical on file with us from the previous year. If your medical history is not approved due to a medical concern, you may be required to get a physical for the 2020-21 school year.

It is against UIL rules to participate without ALL required forms so please make sure your child is ready to begin the workouts. Athletes MUST bring required paperwork, mask, water bottle and a bag for mask and water bottle during activities.

Uniforms will be purchased at Creekview from Coach Sisk or Coach Nichols. We accept cash or check made out to Creekview. There are no online sales and uniform cost is $30. At this time, only ONE uniform set may be purchased to ensure all athletes can have a uniform. After most athletes have purchased uniforms, you will have the opportunity to purchase additional sets. Correspondence will go out when this occurs.

Athletes should come dressed ready to participate. Locker rooms will not be opened for changing clothes/getting dressed and lockers will not be issued until students return to on-campus face to face learning. We plan to use the first few days checking paperwork, issuing purple and golds, conditioning and working on skills.

Reminder to parents, for COVID19 related questions and concerns, please refer to the district website under athletics on the Q and A.

At this time, we will be corresponding through email and RankOne, so please take the time to download the RankOne app to your phone. RankOne is also a great resource to check if your athlete is eligible for participation (all paperwork turned in), game schedules and scores for each game once the season begins. Make sure you download the RankOne app for PARENTS.

This is new for all of us, so let’s work together to make sure our athletes have the best experience as possible. Remember. . . stay calm, stay safe, and be patient. We WILL get through this together!!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send an email.

    Thanks and GO COLTS,

    Coach Nichols
