Start and dismissal times at EMS ISD elementary and middle school campuses will shift by 10 minutes beginning August 15 with the start of the 2022-2023 school year. The added 10 minutes will allow for increased instructional time as well as bank additional days within the school calendar in case of inclement weather or other emergencies that would require the cancellation of schools.

• Tier 1 elementary campuses will start classes at 7:30 am as usual but will dismiss 10 minutes later at 2:50 pm.
• Tier 2 elementary schools and all middle schools currently start at 8:20 am, with a 3:40 pm dismissal time.
• All high schools will start school at 9:10 am and dismiss at 4:25 pm.
