Coach Crook has been named as a Top 10 finalist for America's Top Coach, comprising of the top 5 women and top 5 men in the country. The final round of voting for the Grand Prize winners runs from April 19 - May 2. Grand Prize winners (1 man and 1 woman) will be announced the week of May 10.

"I am truly humbled by this announcement," Crook said. "Thank you to all who voted for me. I am so proud to represent Eagle Mountain-Saginaw on this journey."

Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is pleased to announce that district tennis facilitator and veteran teacher/coach Leslie Crook was named a finalist for America's Top Coach presented by the Tennis Channel. She is among the 50 Top Coaches finalists, comprising 25 men and 25 women. Voting for the Top 10 is slated to begin on Monday, March 29. If Crook makes the Top 10 cut, she will be in the running for the Grand Prize, where one male and one female coach will earn a featured spot on the Tennis Channel website. Grand Prize winners will be announced the week of May 10.  

"This is a huge honor," Crook said. "I am thrilled to be named as a finalist and to represent Eagle Mountain-Saginaw for doing something I am so passionate about." 

World-class educator Crook has taught and coached for 43 years, spending the last 9 in EMS ISD. She's no stranger to winning awards, too. Crook won the United States Tennis Association Coach of the Year award in 2016. Read more about her accomplishment on the district website.
