    Long-Range Planning Committee Overview

The purpose of the EMS ISD Long-Range Facility Planning Committee is to consider the educational needs of all students and represent the entire community, its values, and perceptions in the facility planning process for our fast-growth school district. This includes assessing and prioritizing, in collaboration with district leadership, the district's current and long-term facility needs including new construction, renovations, equipment/system life cycles, and capital improvements. With this information, the LRFPC serves in an advisory role to make suggestions and recommendations as to how to address the district's facility needs to support enrollment growth and program progress, both short- and long-term.

The committee is comprised of volunteers representing parents at all grade levels (elementary, middle, high), future parents, teachers and campus staff, business and community leaders, and district administrators. Membership ranges between 50 and 60 active members. The committee meets quarterly to hear updates on bond program progress and enrollment trends, and review current and upcoming facility needs. The quarterly meeting dates for calendar year 2024 are scheduled as follows:

    • Tuesday, March 5, 2024
    • Thursday, May 30, 2024
    • Thursday, September 5, 2024
    • Thursday, December 5, 2024

Anyone interested in learning more about the Long Range Facility Planning Committee or to inquire about possibly joining the volunteer committee is encouraged to contact the district Communications office through Let's Talk or by emailing info@ems-isd.net.
