Free and reduced meal applications are available to every student in the district at any time. Pick up an application at:

    • any school office or cafeteria,
    • the administration building, or
    • Child Nutrition Department at 1600 Mustang Rock Road, Fort Worth, Texas, 76179, from 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
    Tips
    • If you are new to the district, fill out the application online to recieve benefits faster.
    • If you fill out a paper application at the Child Nutrition department, it will be processed while you wait. If you leave your application with the school office, it will take longer to process because it must be delivered to the Child Nutrition Department. The Child Nutrition department has an after-hours drop box for paper applications.
    • Fill out only one (1) application per family, either online or by paper (completing both will delay your application being processed).
    • If we receive the application through school, mail, or online, we will mail you a benefits letter as soon as it is processed.
    • Once your child has been approved for the meal program, you will need to know that these meals are for a “plate meal,” i.e. what is on the menu for that day. Snack items or a la carte items will be charged at full price.

Any questions you may have about the application process or for general questions, please feel free to call Michelle Velazquez at 817-232-0880 ext. 2596, or email:   mvelasquez@ems-isd.net.
